„ In October 2002, when I was 10 years old, I enrolled for a climbing course for beginners in the Rockarena of Meran. This was my first contact with sports climbing. In January I started to do my first competitions and I participated in the Juniorcup. Straightaway I won 3 competitions and became Southtyrolean Champion in my age group. From then on I won all Junior-Cups. It was a highlight for me to be invited to the Tyrolean Championship in Imst, where I became Tyrolean Champion.
In 2005 and 2006 I participated in the Italian Youth Championship and won in the discipline “On sight”. In addition I took part in different national and international competitions. When I was 14 years old I was affiliated in the National Italian Youth Team and took part in competitions such as the European Youth Cup. In summer 2006 I partecipated in the Youth World Championship in Imst. In 2007 I took part in the European Youth Cup and stood on the podium for 3 times.
Thanks to my good performances I was chosen to take part in the World Youth Championship in Ecuador. I was in a good shape and became world-vice-champion.
In 2008 I did a lot of good competitions and won every national qualification. Unfortunately, I hurt my leg, got a virus infection and had to pause for quite a long period. After that I started to train very hard in order toget in shape for the Youth World Championship in Sydney. Although being behind in training I was 3rd place. That was a particular satisfaction for me.
2009 started very well. I won my first Boulder Cup in general category. That was a great success for me because it was my first competition with adults.
At national competitions I became twice 1st place in difficulty climbing and therefore won the overall standings in the adult category.
I reached my aim becoming second in the European Youth Cup. On a competition in Russia I won a stage for the first time. Thanks to my good performances I was invited to partecipate in Arco Rockmaster. A childhood dream became true.
The crowning touch of this season was the invitation to the IMS Cup at the International Mountain Summit in Brixen. Surprisingly I won the competition against the Austrian world champion Anna Stöhr.
This year I have learned not to give up and to keep on exercising with a steady motivation because at the end it always pays well.
One of the most important things for me is to have fun when climbing with friends. Moreover I like to travel and thanks to all those competition I often get the opportunity to do so.”
